My client was planning a natural birth but after 26 hours of labor, it ended in a c-section on August 29th. We have not yet discussed when she will return and I’m not sure if she will be receiving any physical therapy prior to returning with me but, let’s assume like most women, it isn’t prescribed. Obviously I do have questions on where to start programming wise but I feel that where to start largely depends on what she actually experienced with labor, how much did she push etc. I’m wondering, Dr. E, if you can guide me on specific questions to ask her so I might better know where to start. I am meeting the baby on Friday and it would be great to have these questions prepared :). Thanks!

Jana, I will ask Dr Edythe what kind of HPI/Intake questions she is most interested in when talking to patients such as yours (sorry for the response not being as timely, perhaps you can follow up with them via phone call?).
These are the exercise recommendations from her so far:
“gentle bounce, rocks, frog, kneeling OH rock, knees S2S, Buddha, gentle HWS, PWS
all can be done gently”
